Short description: The aim of the course is to acquaint students with the terminology and tools of epidemiological analysis of the spread of diseases in populations.
Full description: Students learn the principles and models of the formation, development and spread of infectious diseases in animals, learn the rules of conductprotect against epidemic problems, learn about the development of resistance of the anti, the base immunoprophylaxis of infectious diseases and basic treatment of infectious diseases and the use of methods of epidemiological studies (tests) in solving the problems of the spread of infectious diseases.

Learning outcomes: Knowledge: - define the epidemiological terms - know the methods and epidemiological tools - know the way of spreading of infectious diseases - know the rules in outbreak of infectious disease - know the information systems used in veterinary epidemiology Skills: - the student is capable of correct using epidemiological terms and describing of spreading infectious diseases in population - the student can collect and transform data to epidemiological analysis - the student can conduct the epidemiological investigation Social competences: - student can conduct a whole epidemiological investigation, collect data and use important information in epidemiological analysis to predict hazard of the outbreak. Student is capable of choosing the optimal solution to limit the outbreak
Assessment methods and assessment criteria: Final grade is the average of 3 notes received: - during classes (average of all tests, oral answers) (33.3%) - 1st test (33.3%) - 2nd test (33.3%)
